We are seeking Benefits Administrator for 9 month contract position in Duluth, GA
Bachelors Degree in relevant field Minimum of 5 years of related experience with all aspects of benefit plan administration. Knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, and other laws impacting benefits administration. Strong analytical, problem solving skills to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of variable factors. Advanced MS Office skills Ability to exercise independent judgment. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex subjects to broad audiences, both orally and in writing Consultative, collaborative skills. Highly motivated with a strong focus on customer service and process improvement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Experience with Canadian health & retirement plans. Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools/principles (Green Belt/Black Belt/Kaizen/Lean certification, Six Sigma training, etc.)
Position is a key technical resource required to be a subject matter expert in the area of health & welfare and retirement plans. Role will collaboratively participate in and support the design, execution, communication, administration, and compliance of various U.S. benefit programs. Manage interaction with outside service providers on daily administration of benefit programs including facilitating changes to programs with providers. Coordinate record keeping and transactions with third party administrators. Drive implementation and coordinate communication and training efforts for various benefit plan offerings Resolve escalated employee inquiries and perform root cause analysis Review and revise benefit communications pieces which include changes to the Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents, New Hire Orientation, Benefit Brochures, web pages and employee communications for Annual Enrollment or other benefit changes. Assist with Merger and Acquisition activities related to benefit plans Stays abreast of market practices; Participates on special project teams to support new or changing benefit or HR initiatives; Provide benefits consultation to managers and deploy benefits strategy Ensure that local practices and processes conform to all local and national regulations
